Atlantic’s Delmar Branch is supplying FX Luminaire’s ZDC Color Changing System to a local contractor, Mark Frostrom, for installation at a very unique project called Shipwreck Cove. Mark specializes in shot-crete which is formed and colorized to make basically anything, including this project which has the look of old wooden Caribbean ships. The project is part of the Francis Scott Key Hotel located in Ocean City, MD and includes feature such as a large pirate ship with a sun deck and concert stage on the main deck and a large bar on the interior. Other aspects of the project include a dinghy (which also serves as a 30 person hot tub), a massive pool with an island, and a shipwreck themed 9-hole mini-golf course.
No Job to Big
Around our Nation’s capital, Atlantic Irrigation in Dulles is actively delivering materials as work begins on the final two phases of the National Mall Turf Renovation, slated to be 100% complete in 2016. This ongoing, massive undertaking is being installed by Valley Crest Landscape Development, and is the most visible enhancement to our National Mall in over a century. The new turf creates a lush, safe, manicured “green” area for events and for Washington, DC visitors to lounge and enjoy for another century.
